About one year into their collective tenure at Motown, Holland-Dozier-Holland wrote this cracker of a classic in 1964. Eddie Holland, a member of this holy trinity, recorded the song where in lay in the vaults for more than forty years. Thankfully, the track was offered to Kim Weston whose recorded was her highest charting solo hit (only #50 pop). The Isley Brothers cover fared no better but laid the funk foundation for the hit version by The Doobie Brothers that reached #11 in 1975. We'll hear two hours of covers.
