COVID-19, Duh. Today's Subject to Shelter/PatDemic takes a gander at Timmy Thomas' "What's Goin' On"-meets-"I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" plea. A longtime studio musician, Thomas used an early rhythm machine to guide a mono demo of "Why Can't We Live Together." A smart producer decided to release the demo as is, creating a spaceage slowjam. We'll explore multiple songs that cover and/or sample this song.
